Greetings! I'm the founder of AWKWA Training Center LLC, the only wingfoil and windsurf rental and training facility in Arizona endorsed by the AZ Windsurfing Kiteboarding and Wingfoiling Assoc. (AWKWA). The ATC was born out of an unmet need (and the constant inquiries we would get) about where to rent wingfoil and windsurf gear or even how to get started here in central Arizona.

The rental prices listed here are (a lot) higher than you'd normally find, say, in California or Florida or The Gorge but, frankly, this stuff is not cheap, and we don't rent (or want to rent) to everyone or just anyone. The best value is going to be to rent an entire setup, which includes a multi-hour, private lesson with me. The idea is to give you all of the base knowledge and skills you will need to purchase your own kit and sail on your own next time here or wherever you may go. Barring that, it may be more economical (and fun) for you to just book a trip to Cabrete or La Ventana or drive over to San Diego and pay for lessons there.

At the same time, I love exposing others to our sport(s) and sharing the stoke of sailing plus hydrofoiling as a private instructor and local guide. For this reason, I offer introductory private lessons in the Fall and Spring months for both locals and visitors in town interested in learning and/or taking the next step in their progression.
