Listed for sale is my 2021 Eastman Strings VL140 Ivan Dunov Prelude series 4/4 violin. This violin is an excellent choice for intermediate players or dedicated enthusiasts seeking a well crafted instrument made from the desirable Carpathian tone-woods located in the Romania region. It is expertly built, lightweight, and enjoyable to play. 
This Eastman Strings step up model builds on the popular VL-80 and VL-100 series, crafted from highly regarded Romanian tone-woods known for their rich, resonant sound. It features a carefully selected tight-grained Carpathian spruce top, a Carpathian maple back, maple ribs and scroll, and ebony fingerboard and fittings. The instrument is finished with a light hand-applied golden brown varnish that enhances both its tone and visual appeal. 
The setup includes a high grade French maple Superieur Despiau bridge, custom cut and hand carved by me to .5mm under standard spec for added comfort. It is paired with a Wittner tailpiece with four fine tuners, an ebony chinrest, ebony pegs, and a quality spruce sound post, carefully positioned slightly away from the bridge to achieve a more focused tone. 
This violin is currently strung with Thomastik Dominant strings, producing a beautifully rich, warm tone with excellent projection. I've carefully fine tuned the bridge to complement the instrument’s unique characteristics. The result is enhanced resonance and depth in the lower register, along with a sweet yet powerful clarity in the upper range. 
The condition is excellent, with little wear and tear and minor cosmetic flaws. 
Included with this instrument is a durable black oblong case with a soft gray interior, a quality carbon fiber bow, and new Irin shoulder rest.
