Hammer Drill and Bits

This Metabo Hammer Drill is in the catagory of "Bulldog Hammer Drills" that feature an SDS chuck wich opens and closes with a 1/4 turn of the rubber sleeve on the chuck allowing a "spline bit" to be inserted of take out. There is no chuck key. The other features of these drills are that they turn at much slower RPMs than regular chuck drills yet much higher impact for drilling in masonry. The Db level is lower by 50% or more compared to other drills. Its much easier on the nerves by a factor of 10!
   If your drilling a lot of Tapcon into concrete this is the drill to use you will be done in less than 1/2 the time especially in old concrete. I have included the SDS bits for 5/32" holes and 3/16" hole which work for 3/16" and 1/4" Tapcon respectively. 
  Other bits included:

    * 1/2" x 4", 
     *5/8" x 5-1/2"
and for long reach issues a 1/2" x 16". I recently placed (14) 1/2" "Red Head" expansion anchors for a sill plate in 60 year old concrete like 
ice-cream.  This drill is a real pleasure to use!
