Use and Care of Rental Equipment:

•  Renter must use the Rental Equipment in a careful and responsible manner, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and intended purpose.


• Renter shall not modify, alter, or sublet the Rental Equipment.


• Renter acknowledges that outdoor equipment is subject to normal wear and tear



• Do not melt plastic in fire pits. 

  
  
  

  Wear and Tear:

  
  
  

     "Wear and tear" refers to minor, unavoidable damage resulting from normal use of the Rental Equipment for its intended purpose.
     For outdoor equipment, this includes, but is not limited to:



• Minor dirt, dust, or mud stains that can be easily cleaned.


• Slight fading of colors due to sun exposure.


• Small scuffs or scratches on tent poles or frames from normal setup and takedown.


• Minor pilling or fuzzing of fabric.


• Minor scratches or scuffs on camp stoves, tables, or other hard/metallic items from normal handling and use.


• Minor soot or light discoloration on fire pits resulting from normal burning of wood.


• Minor bending of tent stakes.



• Slight scratches on kayak hulls from normal usage.

  
  
  

  Damage Beyond Wear and Tear: 

  
  
  

        Damages that are not considered normal wear and tear include but are not limited to the following examples, and for which the Renter will be held responsible:



• Tears, rips, or holes in tent fabric or screens.


• Broken tent poles or frames.


• Burn marks or melted areas on any equipment not designed to contain fire/heat. 


• Significant cuts, punctures, or deep scratches on kayaks or other equipment.


• Deep scratches, dents, or significant deformation on camp stoves, tables, or other hard/metallic items.


• Extensive soot buildup or significant structural damage to fire pits due to improper use or excessive heat, including melted plastic or burned-on food residue.


• Broken or missing buckles, zippers, or straps.


• Excessive staining or damage from spills (e.g., paint, oil).


• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper storage.


• Lost or missing items.


• Damage caused by animals.


• Any damage caused by exceeding the weight limit of any item.


• Any damage caused by using a water craft in water conditions that are outside of its intended purpose.


• Any damage caused by dragging a water craft across concrete. Specifically, scratches on Kayak hulls deeper than 1/16 of an inch, or longer than 2 inches will be considered damage beyond normal wear and tear. 


• Any Punctures of rubber inflatable watercraft or accessories.
